They would rather hang out on the ground and lie in wait. When their next meal walks by they move quick and pounce on it and enjoy. This is part of the reason they have the name because of the way that they hunt. They stay low on the ground and can be found in a burrow. They also can look menacing with their eight large eyes and their thick hair legs. They are one of the larger types of spiders and have a hair all over them. They also can be found carrying all their live young on their back to protect them.
Black Widow Spider
Now for the spider that most people know about and are the most talked about the black widow. The black widow is one of the spiders that can be a danger to you and your family if you happen upon them. They are a shiny black spider that is around one inch in length. There are lots of black spiders but these ones have a marking. They have a red hourglass shape on the bottom on their belly. They like to have a web close the ground and don’t spend time making it look its best. Brown Recluse Spiders
This is a spider that gets confused with the scary looking wolf spider but they are very different. The brown recluse will usually only reach about a half an inch and don’t have hair or spines on their body. They also have a marking that sets them apart that is a violin shape in a dark brown that adorns their back. They have the most potent venom among the three and have been known to cause major health concerns.
