They are attracted to a lot of the same foods that we eat, so it is important to keep your kitchen neat and tidy. Avoid leaving any food out for long periods of time and clean up any spills right away. Don’t leave dirty dishes in your sink overnight. The combination of food and water will surely attract cockroaches. Make sure you keep your trash in containers with tight fitting lids. Keep your trash cans as far away from your house as you can just in case they can find a way to get into it.
