There are several reason that make cockroaches a problem in your home. One is that if you have family members that have allergies or asthma they can be triggered by the mere existence of cockroaches. They leave behind their excrement and exoskeleton around your house. These can then become air born acting as a trigger to those that suffer from allergies and asthma.
